Hi folks! Here’s the readings and prep for Sunday 🙂
Prep for next class
Jeffrey’s Group:
Hey guys, we’re considering a tricky passage this week, but one that holds important lessons.
Take some time to read 1 Corinthians 1:17 – 2:5
Try to summarise in your own words what you think Paul is talking about (don’t get bogged down in the details – stick to the big idea!).
What questions do you have reading this passage? What bits do you not understand? (Try to be specific about this)
Now think about the following questions:
1. What does the passage reveal about God’s purpose in the design of the gospel?
2. How does the passage make us (or the Corinthians) think differently about our own conversion?
Stephen’s Group:
This Sunday, we’re going to ask a very personal question: “Why am I here and does my life matter?”
We’re going to explore what the Bible reveals about our purpose and significance.
Think: What are some of the answers that different people in our society give to this kind of question? What are people living for? What makes people feel significant or valuable?
See you all on Sunday at 3pm 🙂
