It’s a beautiful Saturday – hope you enjoy your day! Take some time to read through the prep for tomorrow’s class.
Prep for next class
Jeffrey’s Group:
Over the past few weeks, we’ve answered the question ‘How do I know how to live my life?’ We’ve considered the principle of obedience, the guidance of scripture and the ultimate goal of being like Christ. But when we decide that this is the life we want to live, we quickly find that it isn’t an easy path. We now need to consider some of the obstacles in our way.
READ: Romans 5:12; 7:7-10; 6:14
THINK: Do you think it is correct to say that people are inherently ‘good’? What about a Christian? From the verses, why might someone seeking to live a godly life end up feeling even more guilty about their sin than someone who doesn’t? Why is grace so important to the Christian life and how does it help us?
Stephen’s Group:
Last week, we introduced the prophet Jeremiah and thought mainly about his words – he kept speaking God’s truth even when it was unpopular and dangerous. Now, we are going to think about his heart, which is revealed to us in the book of Lamentations.
THINK: How important is our attitude when we share the word of God to others? Can you think of any times when you or someone else has said something true but in the wrong way? What was the response?
See you all on Sunday at 3pm 🙂
